Welcome to Amanda D’souza. I design bespoke interiors for homes, offices and hospitality spaces across Dubai and the wider UAE. This Cookie and Privacy Policy sets out what cookies this website uses, what personal information I collect through it, and how that information is kept safe.

Cookies Policy

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files saved to your device when you visit a website. They record standard internet log information such as your browser type, approximate location and the pages you open. Most websites use them, and this one is no different.

How this site uses cookies

Cookies tell me which pages people actually read, which projects hold attention, and where the site is slow or confusing. That feedback shapes what gets built next. Cookies also remember small preferences so you are not asked the same thing twice, and they keep the enquiry form working properly.

You are never required to accept anything beyond the cookies that keep the site running. Analytics and embedded media cookies can be blocked in your browser at any time without losing access to any part of the site.

Managing Cookies

Every major browser lets you see which cookies have been set, delete them, and block new ones. The controls sit under Settings, usually inside a Privacy or Site Data menu, in Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge alike.

Blocking cookies is your call. Do note that if you turn off all cookies, some parts of the site such as the embedded map, the Instagram feed and the consultation form may stop behaving as intended.

01Data Collection

I collect the details you choose to give me: your name, email address, phone number, project location, property type, timeline, budget range and a short brief about what you want done. These arrive through the consultation form or when you email or message me directly.

The site also records basic technical data on its own, including IP address, browser, device type, referring page and the pages you visit. This is standard web traffic information and is not used to identify you personally.

02Use of Your Data

Your details are used to reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal, arrange a consultation and deliver the design work you commission. If you become a client, the same information supports project coordination with suppliers and contractors.

Traffic data is reviewed in aggregate to understand which work resonates and how the site performs. Marketing emails only go out if you have asked for them, and every one carries an unsubscribe link.

03Data Protection

Your information is held on secured, access-controlled systems. The website runs over HTTPS, so anything you submit travels encrypted between your browser and the server.

Access is limited to the small number of people who need it to do their work, and each of them is bound to keep what they see confidential. Enquiry records are kept only for as long as there is a genuine business or legal reason to hold them, after which they are deleted.

04Third-Party Services

Your personal information is never sold, rented or traded. That is a firm commitment and it does not change.

A handful of trusted platforms do process data on my behalf so the site and the studio can function. These are Google Analytics for anonymised traffic reporting, Google Maps for the studio location, Zoho CRM for storing and following up enquiries, Instagram for the social feed on the home page, and WhatsApp if you start a chat from the site. Each runs under its own privacy terms, which you can read on their websites.

Beyond these service providers, information is disclosed only where UAE law requires it.

05Your Rights

You can ask to see the personal information held about you, have it corrected, have it deleted, or withdraw consent for marketing contact. You can also object to how it is being processed or ask for a copy in a portable format.

06Changes to This Policy

This policy will be revised from time to time as the site and the studio evolve. Any new version is published on this page with a fresh date at the top, so the date tells you whether you are reading something you have already seen.

07Governing Law

This policy is governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, including Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data. Any dispute arising from it or from its subject matter falls to the courts of the Emirate of Sharjah.
